Welcome to Vancouver, BC Canada


Vancouver is unbeatable. I have lived in many places in North America and recently moved back to paradise. Where else can you experience the ethnic ambiance, the food, the bustling city life and be out of town in 20 minutes? And clean air. Not to mention the rain. Yes, I love the rain. Cleans the air. I get some work done, because when it is nice in Vancouver, real Vancouverites play.


The Seawalk, my favorite place on earth. Takes me about 3 hours to walk the whole thing. Rain or shine. People-wathcing is excellent. Especially in the heat of the summer. Along Third Beach.... yeah.

Best part of Vancouver


People. Since I moved back here I have renewed old friendships and made many new friends. Some quite unexpectedly. I joined the Eh Team Dragonboating - why? I have no idea. Just happened. I love it. Great workout, but the people are absolutely incredible. All seniors, all active and full of life. Never a dull moment with these people. Very inspiring.


Then there is the food. Shopping at the Granville Market - the best of the best. It's fun being a local. In the summer most of the crowd there are tourists. From all over the world.  go there at least twice a week for practice, and often again on the weekend to shop. People from all over the world pay lots of money travelling to Vancouver, here we are - belonging. Shopkeepers are getting to know us.


Sure, Vancouver traffic has not diminished in the 20 years since I lived here last. But that's ok. You plan for some delay, and it's not bad. Back in Toronto and NY where I lived for a while - this is nothing.
